Dental Xcel is coming to London, Ontario with Neodent Implants, Straumann Group and Durban Labs for its 11-Day Live Surgery Implant Program at the Henry Schein Training Centre!
The program will be divided into 4 modules that will meet the RCDSO's guides and provide attendees not only with the surgical skills and knowledge to place dental implants, but also give you 84 continuing education credits. Each module contains three days of lecture with hands-on. The Live Surgery module is two days, and gives attendees the opportunity to perform implant surgeries on two of their own patients.
Module 1 focuses on the rationale for dental implants, treatment planning, anatomy, local anesthesia, extractions, socket grafting, surgery principles & surgical complications, the Neodent surgical kit, and hands-on component where participates will place implants on models.
Module 2 consists of one full day of digital workflow, digital scanners, digital impressions with the opportunity to scan models and implant scan bodies. The next two days cover soft tissue considerations, flap design, suturing & GBR. Their will be a hands-on component that allows participates to practice suturing, flap design and implant placement on pig jaws.
Module 3 focuses on implant prosthetics & components, implant occlusion, overdentures using Locator abutments, implant prosthetic complications with hands-on.
At course completion, participants will have a thorough understanding of implant systems and protocols, and the confidence needed to incorporate implant therapy and its related surgeries in their practices.
